Salbutamol is a medicine used to relieve shortness of breath and chest pain (pleuraltitis). This medicine helps to decrease your high or low blood pressure (your blood pressure is your body’s resistance to blood flow).
Salbutamol also helps to treat symptoms of congestive heart failure (such as swelling, heav of pain in the joints, heart palpitations, heart workload increase), lung and airways diseases (such as pneumonia and bronchospasm).
The usual dose of Salbutamol is 50 mg taken with or without food.
Salbutamol should be taken at evenly spaced intervals in a 24 hour period. However, it is important to complete the full course of treatment to ensure the best results. Follow your doctor’s prescription, even if you feel better after 3-6 days of treatment. Salbutamol can be taken with or without food.
Do not use more than 1 dose in 24 hours.
If you forget to take Salbutamol, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then take your next dose at the regular time.
Do not take 2 doses at the same time.
Salbutamol can work up to 3-6 hours after taking the medicine. However, if you are taking it with a meal, then the dose may take up to 5 hours to reach its full effect. Salbutamol can also be used for 3-6 hours after taking the medicine.
You can take Salbutamol with or without food. However, if you take the medicine in excess of two hours, then you should avoid taking Salbutamol at the same time.
Most of the time, it is not possible to determine if Salbutamol is the active ingredient of the medicine. In case you experience any of the side effects listed below, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor.

Ventolin is commonly prescribed as an aerosol inhalant administered through an inhaler. For most individuals, two inhalations should be taken every four to six hours. This usually comes out to about two inhalations four times a day. More frequent inhalations are not recommended.
To prevent exercise-induced bronchospasms, it is recommended that you take two inhalations of Ventolin fifteen minutes before physical activity.
The exact dosage and schedule will vary depending on the patient's age, body weight, and severity of the condition. Take the medication exactly as your doctor has instructed.
Do not increase your dosage or discontinue the use of Ventolin unless ordered to do so by your doctor. If you experience any adverse reactions, contact a health care provider. Your dosage may increase or decrease depending on your doctor’s orders.
You should store your medication in a closed container at room temperature, away from extreme heat, extreme cold, moisture, and direct light, and keep it out of the reach of children.
Most people with chronic cough and bronchitis only have mild symptoms. If the condition is going to stay the same or get better, or if you are going to have repeated episodes of bronchitis, consult your doctor before taking Ventolin.Salbutamol is used to treat: - cough and bronchitis - cold and allergy - inflammation and itching - inflammation and irritation - neuralgia (numbness, burning) - migraine - tension and numbness - dizziness - headache - sweating - palpitations - seizures - anaphylaxis.
Both Salbutamol and Ventolin are good choices for people with mild to moderate chronic cough and bronchitis. However, if you have more severe cough or bronchitis, or if you have multiple episodes of bronchospasm, talk to your doctor.
Ventolin should be taken with a full glass of water. If you are taking a different inhaler due to an illness or health issue, you should seek the advice of your doctor as soon as possible.
Salbutamol should be avoided when using certain medications, such as: - aspirin (for heartburn) - corticosteroids (such as prednisone) - antibiotics (such as doxycycline) - blood thinners (such as warfarin) - opioids (such as morphine) - antacids (such as aluminum, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and bismuth) - nitrates - certain antidepressants (such as amitriptyline, amoxapine, tizanidine) - prescription phenytoin (pecially formulated for Parkinson’s disease) - triptoreine - tricyclic antidepressants (pecially formulated for Parkinson's disease)
